- Read Ephesians 4:25-5:2.
- Share with the group a time when you got angry, and now, looking back on it, you find it silly that you got so upset.
- Do you think you have a problem with anger? Why or why not?
- Have you been a victim of someone's anger? What was it like? What did you do about it?
- Father Mike mentioned two different approaches to anger. A "rhino", that charges when angry and a "hedgehog" who curls up in a ball. Which one are you? Do you lash out in anger or internalize it?
- Read 4:26. What does it mean to "be angry but not sin"? How can you do this?
- What are the consequences of "letting the sun go down on your anger"? In your relationships? On your health? What are the dangers of internalizing your anger?
- Verse 4:31-32 tells us to "put away our anger", replacing it with kindness and forgiveness. What are some tips that you have learned about how to control your anger?
- Talk in the group about the connection between unforgiveness and anger. Is it hard for you to forgive when you are angry? What can you do to help with this?
- Father Mike talked about the "switch" of anger and love. Which one is your default switch? What sorts of things trigger it from anger to love? From love to anger?
- How can the group support you with what we've talked about today?
- Pray for one another.
