Week of October 22, 2012

  1. What is your opinion on "mission statements"?  Do you think it is important to have one that can be articulated?  How important is it to you that organizations have one (like businesses or churches)?  Should individuals have one?
  2. If you had a mission statement for yourself, what would it be?
  3. Consider the mission statement Father Mike revealed on Sunday for St. Andrew's:  "The mission of St. Andrew's is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ."  What does it mean to you?
  4. Does this statement reflect where you think God has St. Andrew's as a church?  Why or why not?
  5. How do you think you fit in to this mission? What contributions would you bring?
  6. Father Mike spoke about looking down on the ministry of St. Andrew's from heaven 200 years from now.  What would you like to see the church doing?  What can we do now to see that dream come true?
  7. Pray for one another.....
